Before getting admission into Royal College of Health Technology, the candidate must provide all the minimum requirements.
- To be eligible for admission to the Royal College of Health Technology Umuahii Obi Mbieri Owerri Imo State, a candidate must have;
- Satisfied the requirements for admission;
- Satisfied in addition departmental requirement for entry into the chosen courses of study.
- Passed the required entrance examinations
- Paid all prescribed fees as when required; and;
- Complied with such other regulations and requirements as may be prescribed.
- Approved courses of study and syllabuses of subject for the examinations under these regulations and the number of papers in each subject are those approved by various professional bodies. Approved courses shall also include such lectures, tutorials, seminar, laboratory classes, field work as are prescribed by departmental regulations and such written work as the department concerned shall require.
- A student shall not be deemed to have followed any approved course of study, unless the head of department certifies that his/her attendance and performance have been satisfactory.
- A student whose work or progress is considered unsatisfactory may be required by the academic committee to withdraw from the school or to repeat any part of his/her course before graduation. An outright failure in the semester examinations may be regarded as evidence of unsatisfactory progress.
- The duration of a course of study for certificate program shall normally be not less than two (2) academic years, technician program, not less than three (3) academic years, and Higher National Diploma Program for a period not less than four (4) academic years. A student may be permitted to extend the period of study prescribed on the grounds of ill health or for such other reasons approved by the academic committee.
- Qualified and matriculated students from other college of Health Technology may transfer to Royal College Health Technology Umuahii Obi Mbieri Owerri Imo State, if the academic committee considers them satisfactory for such transfer.
